The Best of Halloween on Instagram

Having a camera that is broken really sucks as I can’t take Halloween photos. Not having the ability to be able to use my camera feel like I’m missing a limb. Ok, maybe not that drastic but I do miss being able to take photos. Hence why contents been a little light on here.

Anyway, not being able to take photos of Halloween this year, has made appreciate a lot of amazing Halloween photos – especially on Instagram.

I love it when I come across a photo that captures the essence of Halloween. As much I keep going on about the scary aspect of Halloween, they’re also so much beauty and fun in this festivities.

I collected a series of ‘gram that I believe capture Halloween in all its beauty and glory. Here are the best of Halloween on Instagram.

☽・☾ Just a girl and her Jack o’ lantern… only a few more hours until Samhain… Samhain (also known as Hallowmas, Samana, Samhuinn, and Samonios) is the last eve of October, saying goodbye to Summer days and welcoming in the Winter winds. In this day we generally look to the Crone goddesses, the dying and aging gods, the sacrificial gods, and the death and decaying gods. For Celts, this festival is looked as the beginning of the calendar, and signifies the time of end for the past year and what we have sowed, and marks the beginning of a new year and a new harvest. This is also the time that the Veil is thinnest between this world and the spiritual world. It is a time when spiritual beings to come into our world, and the time for us to have a stronger connection to the other side. There are several correspondences with this time: SPIRITUAL FOCUS AND KEYWORDS Ancestry, beginnings, bereavement, change, courage, death, endings, faerie, hunting, other worlds, preservation, reincarnation, rest, survival, and wisdom. ARCHETYPES The Crone, the Greiving Mother, The Greiving Wife, the Woman in White The Huntsman, The Husbandsman, the Faery King The Witch, The Changeling, The Grim Reaper, The Wild Hunt COLORS Black, brown, grey, orange, red, yellow and silver. HERBS Broom, Dittany of Crete, Garlic, Mugwort, Myrrh, Rosemary, Sage, Wormwood, and Yarrow TREES Cedar, Hazel, and Hemlock CRYSTALS AND STONES Carnelian, Jet, Moonstone, Obsidian, and Onyx METALS Iron and Silver ANIMALS Black cats, owls, ravens, and spiders How will you celebrate this special night?
