Oh hello, June, where did you come from? Seriously how is it June already? I'm going to try and make the most of summer this year - despite everything else being rubbish. I'm going to enjoy myself and have fun in the sun. Sound like a good plan, doesn't it? ⠀

Oh hello, June, where did...

I must admit that I did get bored with balcony/mirror outfit pictures and wanted a more nature/organic photos backdrop. Well now summer is right around the corner, and the sun is indeed shining, and with news that lockdown resections are now easing, I now thought it was the perfect opportunity to go out into the wood and show you this floral Zara dress.⠀
I brought this dress at the very beginning of this year and was keen to show you guys this as I think it a lovely summer dress to wear, plus, I also thought it would go nicely with my red hat.⠀
For someone who has been cooped up, I must admit that it was nice to go into my local woodland and to walk around for an afternoon. I think it was also lovely for Richard, my husband, to pick up his camera again and to take some photos. The whole pandemic has put a pause on his professional photographer profession, and he hasn’t needed to use his camera much.⠀
It was lovely to put on a dress and to make myself look a little presentable. It got me out of my loungewear for an afternoon. The experience made me feel a little more like myself, and it put me in a good mood. As much as I like comfy loungewear, I’m still someone who wants to dress up.⠀
I’m hoping I can go out more this summer, of course still observing the social distancing rule, and doing more outdoor outfit photos. I’m also hoping this summer to wear more of my summer outfit and to feel more like myself.⠀

I must admit that I...

Usually, when I do an outfit post or picture, I like to dress up and show you some pretty dress. But this time I thought I would show you a few of my casual wear and what I wear on a day to day basis. I must admit, as much as I love to dress up, I wouldn't exactly go to Tesco in them. So on a day to day basis, I'm usually in jeans and a top. ⠀

If I were to describe my style, it would be summed up in two words: quirky and fun. I'm sure you realise by now I don't like boring black fashion – I do fun, bright, colourful style. Case in point is this Collectif watermelon dress. You can't get more quirky and fun fashion than this, can you?⠀
I like my clothes to reflect a lot of my personality, eternally youthful while also quirky and fun. Yup, that pretty much summed up me. The saying, you are who you are by the clothes you wear, really does hold up with me.⠀
I'm still that little girl who had a dressing up box as a child and would play dress-up; now I just have a wardrobe filled with more clothes than I could ever need as my dressing up box. I still like to have fun with my clothes, and I haven't lost that childhood wonder about clothes. And I don't think I ever will.⠀
Overall, what I'm saying is that this Collectif watermelon dress reflects who I am as a person and also my style. I also believe it represents how fashion shouldn't be all serious; it should be fun and should put a smile on a person's face.⠀

Organic Beauty | Peachy Fox Skincare Products

Posted on

Over recent time I have found myself converting over to more organic natural beauty products. Because of this, today I thought I would show you the Peach Fox skincare products.

I’m sure you know the deal with organic skincare. It environmentally friendly, it doesn’t always involved animals testing, better for the skin and doesn’t contain nasty chemicals. So it now wonder that the organic skincare market is projected to reach $22bn by 2024 (source). We – yes us beauty people not just us beauty bloggers – are waking up and realizing that organic skincare is the way forward in term of looking after our skin.

In recent years, I’ve woken up as well and realize that a lot of beauty products really doesn’t do any good for my skin. For example, I can’t wear lipsticks as I’m allergic to it. This is the same story with expensive perfumed make-up from designer’s brands. Whatever I use it, I just break out in a rash.

Throughout my 20s I had the worst rosacea. I never suffered from teen acne – that came later in my life when it really caught up with me. It got so bad I went to a dermatologist and had a big course of steroid injections.  I had tons of judgmental people telling me it was ‘diet’, no it wasn’t – it was just my hormones causing havoc.

Later on in my 20s once the rosacea calmed down and my skin passed the ‘hormones change’ phrase, I started to read up organic skincare. Partly as I wanted to avoid irritating my skin natural balance and also just the thought of beauty animals testing filled me with horror.

Now in my 30s, I would like to say that I exclusively use just organic skincare – but in all honesty I really don’t. As I find the organic skincare market to be on the little pricy side, also a lot of the highstreets drugstores especially the big one such as Boots, Superdrug and department stores just don’t stock them. Or if they do it in small quantity and often mixed in with other products so that the consumer doesn’t know the different.

Anyway, I’m getting off-subject here and telling you my whole life story. Let just say when I do have the chance to try out or to use organic skincare then you bet I jumped at the chance.

And this is why, I’m showing you this lovely organic skincare range that is available to buy on Amazon. Peachy Fox is a new organic skincare brands that fit all the criteria I look for when looking for a new organic skincare range: it animals testing free, no nasty chemicals and environmentally friendly.

Here a further reason on why to use Peachy Fox:

*We’re a quirky, conscious all natural London skincare brand.

*We believe in purity, with all natural ingredients that work for your skin.

*We lovingly craft each product in the UK leaving the nasties at the door!

#Our mission is to provide stunningly clean products that really do what they say on the bottle.

When the lovely people at Peachy fox got in contact with me and asked if I would like to try their products. My answers were hell yes.

Peach Fox skincare products

There are 4 products currently in their Peachy Fox range:

  • Anti-aging Serum – Aloe Retinol Serum
  • Collagen Retinol Moisturiser – Potent anti-ageing day cream
  • Organic & Natural Marine Collagen Eye Gel. Anti-Ageing Under-Eye Treatment, Diminishes Dark Circles, Puffiness & Wrinkles. Instantly Awakes & Transform Your Eyes!
  • Skin Calming Rosehip & Chamomile Cream – Rosacea Friendly

Here how I got on with each of their products.

Peachy Fox Anti-Aging Serum – Aloe Retinol Serum

Powerful formula blended with natural extracts & oils, our potent anti-ageing Aloe Vera based formula intensely hydrates and moisturises the skin. Formulated with jojoba and arnica oil to help improve the appearance of aged & stressed skin. With added marine collagen to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. (contains no dyes, parabens, sulfate, free)

Years ago I tried the Origins Mushroom serum and absolutely bloody loved it. So I was hoping that this serum would have the same reaction. Gently put a dab of this on the back of your hand and apply it to your face. The smell of this – it like a spa smell in a cream, if that make sense? (And it we all know how much I love spa!) That the only way to describe it, the smell isn’t powerful and doesn’t linger. This serum cream very quickly absorbs into the skin and instantly make it baby soft.

Wow this is my new favorite serum, it honestly the nicest serum I have ever used. My skin felt instantly softer and calmer. Didn’t leave any residue like other serums. While I only been using this for a few days I did notice a few minor anti-aging effect, while the wrinkles and bags didn’t entirely disappear – but it did became less defined and noticeable. Which I think is a successful result.

Overall this is my new favorite serums and I highly recommend you all to use this.

Peachy Fox Collagen Retinol Moisturiser – Potent anti-ageing day cream

A potent, all natural & organic daily or nightime moisturizer that is formulated to help diminish the signs of aging, leaving your feeling skin super soft with a radiant glow. Featuring powerful natural ingredients such as Vitamin A, Jojoba oil, Argan Oil, Collagen, Marine Collagen, Hyaluronic acid & vitamin E. (contains no dyes, paraben, sulfate, free)

The first thing that caught my attention with this moisturizer that you can use this on your face as well as on your body. I like the idea of this as few facial moisturiser when used other than on the face can leave the skin on the body greasy.

Another thing that caught my attention is the claimed on how it can calm and soothe rosacea skin. While I might not have so much rosacea now, it still does linger a little under the surface and at time like to pop out and say hello.

This moisturizer does have a thick creamy texture with no smell. When applying this I detected no smell so if you’re a fan of non-perfumed moistuser then you are in luck!

You also do have to work into the skin for it to not linger about the surface. It also doesn’t feel greasy when applying it.

When I tried this out, the under surface rosacea is currently not a problem. However, since I used this I have found the redness has cleared up and isn’t so noticeable.

I perhaps would use this when the rosacea does pop up on the surface as though I do like this moisturizer I don’t see this being added to my skincare routine quite yet. I will say that is moisturizer is a perfect size to put in your handbag or beauty bag, so this will be my backup or I would use this if I’m going on holiday.

Peachy Fox Organic & Natural Marine Collagen Eye Gel

Our Potent Natural & Organic Formula that is Full of Antioxidants & Scientifically Proven Anti-ageing Properties that Deeply Nourish the under Eye area, helping to Remove Fine Lines, Wrinkles, Puffiness & Dark Circles, also includes Avocado Oil & Hyaluronic acid Improving Skin Elasticity & Hydration. Add this product to your daily regimen for more Youthful, Bright Looking Eyes. (contains no dyes, parabens, & sulfate, free.

I will admit that I rarely – if ever – use any eye gel or any collagen products. I suppose in my head I think to myself that I don’t really need it and I’m still young and fresh face. However, before you using this I took some photos of myself and my god I look old. Which as you can imagine completely depressed me. So I was keen to see is this can indeed make me fresh face and young.

It a clear gel that when applied on the delicate area of the eyes quickly absorbs and work instantly. I could feel it instantly tighten up the eye area and reducing my wrinkles. I had no irritation or soreness. And while often it can be risky business applying any gel or your eye area, I had no problem

This might be sometime I would use a nighttime beauty routine as I feel this gel would be more beneficial if used throughout the night. I can see this being added to my nighttime skincare routine as overall I do like it and this gel does work its magic.

Peachy Fox Skin Calming Rosehip & Chamomile Cream

This Natural, Gentle Rosehip & Chamomile Formula Helps to Soothe & Calm Skin, Reducing redness & Soothing inflammation. Formulated with clean ingredients such as Flaxseed oil, Green tea, Cucumber extract, Chamomile & Rosehip oil all helping to bring individual benefits to a Calmer & healthier looking skin. Rosacea Friendly.

A thick creamy texture that is aimed to calm your rosacea skin and help dryness. So the question is, does it? Well I found this to instantly sink into the skin with no scent present – which is a promising start. This I feel could be added to your morning beauty skincare routine as when I tried this out first thing in the morning; I found that by nighttime my skin was looking a lot healthier and happier. It hydrated my skin and gave it a healthy glow.

Another little beauty that will be added to my skincare routine and it also a perfect size to fit in your handbag and use when out.

Overall:

As I feel I have rambled on enough now. I will conclude that I really enjoyed using Peachy Fox skincare products and if you are a fan of organic skincare products then you won’t be disappointed with this brand. Trust me when I say that your skin will thanked you for using them.

I love some natural skin care products, especially when they’ve got such quality ingredients. I know what you mean about the price points though, I think it’s healthy to use a mixture and not all synthetics are bad. Thanks for sharing, Leanne x

While I don’t find anything wrong with using synthetics, my sensitive skin just doesn’t seem to agree with it. Products that I use for facials and face masks are fine, but I stick to mostly natural skin care for my daily regimen.

If you like natural skin care, then you might want to check out Aviva Pure. They’re an organic beauty brand in the US (but they ship to the UK) and carry hair care, skin care, and teeth whitening products.
