My Best Blogging Advice For 2020

If 2020 is going to be the year you start blogging, then I would like to help you and give you a few of my best blogging advice for 2020.

It a new year, a new decade and a whole new you. You want to start 2020 off with a bang, and you feel that by starting a blog might be the first important step when ticking off that new year resolution list.

Speaking of new year resolution, I’m ticking off a little something off that list by doing the first of many (hopefully) marketing and blogging blog post.

So yes, new year and a list that you want to tick off. Let me show you my best blogging advice for 2020.

Network and meet people

Blogging is not about being a loner sitting at home, typing on a computer. It about going to somewhere and meeting people. There is no harm in asking to meet other fellow bloggers for a coffee or joining a blogging group. I have found that the more you network or meet someone, the more opportunity that will open up for you. If meeting someone give you anxiety, then you can always set up a Whatsapp group or talk to someone on Skype.

Showcase who you are

Put your personality and a lot of you within the blog and don’t be scared about it. If you like booging to Abba, then you boogie on down with Abba, don’t feel like you need to change or not show who you are. You are unique so never forget that.

Grab your phone and go

There no need to be stuck at home twiddling your thumb and wondering what to write, there a big world out there. So grab your phone and get out there. Take pictures, video and maybe even Insta Stories of all the cool things you see.

Stick with it

Please don’t give up at the first hurdle, stick with it. It might be helpful to create a writing schedule or start some diary/plan. But don’t stop at the first hurdle – keep going.

Don’t worry about numbers and have fun

When starting a blog, you might be concerned that you don’t have 10k followers on Instagram or your blog is only get 10 monthly views, and most of them are from your mum. Just go with the flow and have fun. I can promise you, and people will come so seriously, don’t fret about the numbers.

Hey Anna. Cindy of diybohemian.com here. Thanks for the encouragement. It’s been just over two years since I started by style blog, and still have low numbers. But, I am slowly growing. I’ve had a lot of “life happens” stuff in the last year but, I’m still going. But, one thing you mentioned that I really like: blogging groups. I need to check into finding a group locally. I really like the idea of networking and getting aquainted with fellow bloggers in person. Thanks for the tips. God bless you in your own blog. 😊 Cindy
