This is my end of summer and going into the autumn look. Those if I\'m honest, the day we took these photos felt like we were still in the middle of summer and Autumn was just a distant dream. ⠀
I\'m a little late to the linen dress trend that been filling up my Ig feed this summer. Still better late than never, here\'s a linen \'inspired\' dress from Primark. I say \'inspired\' as I don\'t think its strictly a linen dress and its proberbly some cheap knockoff.⠀

With Autumn just around the corner, It got me thinking of September/Autumn fashion and how I\'m looking forward to saying goodbye to my summer dresses and hello to oversize jumpers and cosy cardigan. I\'m trying to reclaim my love for the cardigan, a childhood fave of mine which I have seen to outgrown as I got older. ⠀
Starting with this Sainsbury TU embroidery cardigan which is so lovely to wear. I\'m now looking forward to wearing more cardigan throughout Autumn. Bring it on. ⠀

When your husband surprised you with a big bouquet of flowers and your first thoughts is - quick let me put on a pretty dress and take a photo of me holding it!⠀
(The only problem with that - you look tired on photos hence me hiding behind this bouquet.)⠀

A couple weeks ago, out of nowhere a butterfly flew into our home. This got me all emosh and I was certain it was an omen - a good omen. My husband just wanted it out of the house, but I wanted to keep it.⠀
⠀
This butterfly picture was at London Zoo. ⠀

More Books to Read This Autumn

I don’t know about you, but I can’t get enough of reading books right now. So here are more books to read this autumn.

Yeah, guess who just spend a small fortune on books and now need to borrow money to help last her for the end of the month? Any guesses?

*shamelessly raises my hand*, I didn’t mean to and I just went down that rabbit hole on Amazon and I somehow now am out of pocket. Whoops.

The thing is, I have forgotten how much paperback books cost. I spent so many years buying really cheap Kindle books that I just ignore paperback books. I know that an awful thing to say but in my defence, a lot of library and bookstores has closed down. Even my local WHSmith store has downsized their books department.

I did say last time that I’m trying to get back into paperback books this season, as I need to in the evening give my eyes a rest from the bright screen. An activity without being distracted with something on my phone or tablet.

On the bright side, with me buying so many paper books is you all can look so forward to lots of book reviews in the future. Yay!

Now previously I went down the dark, mysterious and spooky categories of books. For me that the kind of book I tend to look for at this time of year, can you blame me when outside is so cold and dark.

So this time I thought I would go toward the lighter side of life (always look on the Brightside of life. Sing with me. Ok maybe not!). Where you can smile and just general feel happy.

Here is my selection of happier and lighter books. This time of year isn’t all doom and gloom, you know (despite what my dad keeps saying to me, now he’s really doom and gloom).

Enjoy my more books to read this autumn.

Once a celebrated author of short stories now in his twilight years, Anthony Peardew has spent half his life collecting lost objects, trying to atone for a promise broken many years before.
Realising he is running out of time, he leaves his house and all its lost treasures to his assistant Laura, the one person he can trust to fulfil his legacy and reunite the thousands of objects with their rightful owners. But the final wishes of the ‘Keeper of Lost Things’ have unforeseen repercussions which trigger a most serendipitous series of encounters…

When her mother turns up naked and proud during her first term at college, Ashleigh Hayes assumes that life can’t get any more embarrassing. Ten years later, with best friend Stevie at her side, and a successful career as a freelance photographer for monthly magazine Glitz, it looks like she might have finally got the hang of things. Only she seems to have inherited the embarrassment gene from her mother and her every encounter with new boss, Tom Rushworth, looks set to send her career spiralling backwards. Getting past their shaky start, Ashleigh and Tom embark on a relationship that was only ever meant to be a bit of fun. But when life, paparazzi and love-sick Labradors get in the way, they suddenly find themselves caught in a roller coaster ride of emotions.

Alison Warner knows love doesn’t always last. Wedded bliss is hit and miss and she’s not taking any chances. She’s the daughter of divorce lawyers, so Ali knows the statistics by heart. Now her parents are adding to the numbers and Ali’s more certain than ever: marriage is not for her.
Others do not share her views. Her cousin Sasha’s got engaged; her best friend Jules is giving ‘Bridezilla’ new meaning and even her crazy gran, Gertie’s dogs are getting hitched. When her life-long friend, Simon Hart unexpectedly proposes, Ali’s convinced the world’s gone mad.
Having an arrogant new boss is the last thing Ali needs right now. Aidan Rourke has come to run The Shimmering River and Water Sports Centre – a job that should have been Ali’s. But at least she can be sure of one thing. Marriage is definitely not on Aidan’s mind. Although it’s abundantly clear something else is…

Forty-something Thomas is very happy to be on his own, far away from other people and their problems. But beneath his grumpy exterior lies a story and a sadness that is familiar to us all. And he’s about to encounter a family who will change his view of the world… for good.

Mae has no time for men in her life! Local vet Alfie might be totally gorgeous but she’s far too busy looking after her young daughter and running her little bed & breakfast by the sea.
Willow is in the middle of building her dream home with her husband, Ethan, when disaster strikes. And with every month that passes she secretly worries that her happy ever after will never come true…
Melody only intended to stay in the bustling seaside town for a few days. But when she meets Hugo – the charming man in the ice cream van – she decides to stay a little longer.
It seems the little bed & breakfast is full of surprises!

Meet the daughters of Iris Parker. Dee; sensitive and big-hearted; Rose uptight and controlled and Fleur the reckless free spirit.
At the reading of their mother’s will, the three estranged women are aghast to discover that their inheritance comes with strings attached. If they are to inherit her wealth, they must spend a series of weekends together over the course of a year and carry out their mother’s ‘bucket list’.
But one year doesn’t seem like nearly enough time for them to move past the decades-old layers of squabbles and misunderstandings. Can they grow up for once and see that Iris’ bucket list was about so much more than money…

Libby and her husband Jason have moved back to his hometown to turn the family B&B into a boutique hotel. They have left London behind and all the memories – good and bad – that went with it.The injured woman Libby finds lying in the remote country road has lost her memory. She doesn’t know why she came to be there, and no one seems to be looking for her.
When Libby offers to take her in, this one small act of kindness sets in motion a chain of events that will change many people’s lives .

Love the post, I am a fellow book lover and spend as much as my downtime as I can reading. I like you stick to my Kindle as it’s easier to download, and it’s a lot lighter then a book. But I always consider myself a tangible reader as I love holding an actual book.
