I’m struggling with words on how to describe these magical unicorn cookies. Seriously my head is a blank. What can I say about these cookies?
Well let start with the obvious – these cookies are not precisely magical and they not exactly very unicornlike. Well, I might as well say it now. It doesn’t exactly take a scientist to work out that they not exactly some mystical, powerful magical unicorn cookies.
Now you know why I was struggling with words.
As always with any baking I do, I made these cookies using a ready-made kit. I’m no baking expert, and I will never win The Great British Bake-off. Some people are born with the natural ability to bake – I’m just not one of them. Therefore, why I use the baking kit as it is less likely, I would mess it all up.
Since this lockdown begins and life is pretty much on hold, I been doing a lot of baking. It is my way of passing the time and a way to get an instant treat.
For the past week, I have been trying to get into the Easter spirit, but it isn’t happening. This year Easter feels like a strange one. I usually am all over Easter, but this year I could quite happily sleep through it. Our families (both mine and my husband) have both said they don’t want to see us due to this lockdown pandemic situation. So yeah, this Easter is going to be very much a blur.
I hope that through baking, I can get myself into the Easter spirit, but so far it isn’t happening. But still, it gives me an excuse to eat cookies and gore myself stupid on sweet treats.
Now I think about it, these magical unicorn cookies are kind of doing an excellent job of oblivion my boredom and give me a tasty treat. So, in a way, they are kind of magical as these bring me happiness and helping me get through a difficult time—Bravo magical unicorn cookies.
