The other day I was in one of *those* mood where I was a grumpy old woman, you know the kind where you would come home and kick your shoes off while slamming the front door. It’s the kind of mood where these is an imaginative dark gloomy storm cloud over your head and you want everyone to leave you alone. Yeah that was me and when I’m in this mood and the only thing that will calm me down and help me with my imaginative storm cloud is by pampering myself.
Sometimes when I’m in this mood my skin can get really stressed. So to help me relax I like to do all the usual, run myself a nice little bath, put some candles on and have some meditation music on the background. I also like to take my time with my beauty routine so I usually start with a simple wash and then finish with a facial mask. I’m sure you know all the benefits of facial mask and blah blah.
I’m going to talk to you about a facial mask that I made for that specific day, it was a lavender facial mask and now I’m no dermatologist but after using this facial mask a couples of time it has left my skin feeling super soft, refreshed and relaxed.
Here is a recipe off the lavender facial mask and it so so easy and simple to do and really will benefit the skin.
You will need:
2 tsp of heaped natural yogurt
1 tsp of honey
A small handful of fresh lavender (buy from a super market or anywhere.)
Mix it up:
Give the honey, yogurt and lavender a good mix together in a bowl, making sure that the mask is the right consistency to sit well on the skin.
Keep the mask on for 10 minutes.
Here why to use lavender:
Lavender is credited with being anti-allergenic, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, antibacterial, antispasmodic, balancing, energising, soothing, healing, toning and stimulating. In a nutshell It works well on all skin types and is effective in treating oily skin as well as acne, dermatitis, eczema and psoriasis.

August 10, 2015Hi Jana, the only thing that put me off having my own lavender plant is all the bees and insect. I have the BIGGEST phobia of bees/wasps/insect so buying one at the moment is a big no no. xx

August 10, 2015Oh no! Bees are so important, although I totally understand what you mean! I try to swat them away when they come near me! I even duck and hide under my jacket or go inside if they keep following me haha. But we have a vegetable garden and some fruit trees so hopefully they will be busy pollinating our plants to bother me! 🙂
