I hasn’t done a fashion-related collection post on this blog yet so I felt it was high-time I did, in fact its been a while since I done any fashion-related writing that wasn’t incorporated with my freelance writing work.
Carolina Herrera, the American fashion designer famous for dressing the first ladies of the white house such as Michelle Obama. For myself personally, Carolina Herrrera always been a designer I kept a distance eyes on and would take only take a glance at her seasonal collection. I admire her greatly and when you have a designer who personal motto is ‘elegant and worldly without ever being fussy‘ when discussing her designs, I know she a designer who is after my own heart. However I felt I could never be a ‘Carolina Herrera’ girl, someone who has endless cocktails party to attends in the evening while being able to shop in Paris and go to Polo match. she a designer I admire but not able to relate to, not like other designers I follows.
When I took a glancing look at the PreFall 2013, its a period in the fashion calender between Spring/Summer 2013 to Autumn/Winter 2013. Carolina Herrera collection became a firm favorite, her blends of colours with straight-forward elegant designs without fussiness, making it wearable for all occasion. While the collection I still cannot relate to, its aspiration in which I would like to aim for myself, I could see myself being a ‘Carolina Herrera’ girl.
The navy blue laced gown with white dot would be perfect against a star-lit night sky while that’s only one example of her collection, I have picked a few more of my favorites from the collections.
