A Few of My Favourite Summer 2018 Things
With summer is full gears, I thought now would be the perfect time to show you a few of my favourite summer 2018 things.
I don’t really have much of an introduction to this post. Except that I have been meaning to do a favourite post for a while. But every time I go to collect the items which are scattered around our home, and what do I find? It has been thrown in the bin! Very frustrating, especially as I wanted to photograph them. But Richard has this rigid system where as soon as an item is empty it goes straight in the bin.
Even if I go to hide the items in my room for safeguarding, he still will come in and put them in the bin.
So hubby, if you are reading this – stop throwing my stuff away!
Anyway, I did manage to collect a few items where I can now finally do a favourite post. So without further ado, let me show you a few of my favourite summer 2018 things.
I was at my local The Body Shop store when this caught my eyes. Banana Shampoo & conditioner. I’m a sucker for banana beauty products. And let me tell you, this smell incredible. If like me and love banana smelly products – then you will love this. It isn’t an overpowering smell, personally, it smells fruity and fresh. I also found that this also makes your hair really soft and shiny. The banana smell doesn’t linger on the hair after lathering, which is good if you don’t like that sort of thing.
Overall I adore The Body Shop Banana Shampoo & Conditioner. Not just for the smell – but how it does make my hair soft and shiny.
Something a little different. But this is seriously one of the best RPG game I have played for a long while.
Horizon Zero Dawn is a PlayStation 4 RPG game. Set in a far future where men must live in harmony with machines. I will say no more. But I found this such a lot of fun to play. Especially fighting with a bow and arrows. I also felt the story dynamic was just right – especially with the hidden twist at the end.
If you have played Killzone – then you will love this game. Especially as it from the same studio and this is their first game in the RPG genre.
Bed Spread from TK Maxx:
I never really explored the TK Maxx home department before, and I have to say: They really do have some lovely gems. I have always thought of it resembling a jumble sale where the store is all over the place.
But really, you need to look at it like Aladdin cave and once you start digging, you do find some amazing finds.
For example, this white with poppies bedspread. I really like the simplicity of it and how it brightens up my bedroom.
I really need to start looking at more of their home stuff.
If you are a fan of Liz Earle beauty products, then I think you will love her Wellbeing magazine. I discovered this at my local WHSmith recently and I’m now subscribing.
It caters to everything you expect from a wellbeing magazine. Recipes, travel and of course beauty. It a well-thought-out magazine and if you’re ever feeling down then pick this up and it will make you feel better.
I know I might be late to this, but it really hard to see this in the UK. But I found season 1 box set on Amazon and I finally got to watch it.
Oh my frickin god! This is such an amazing show! Yes, a little depressing in places – but it just grips you from the get-go of episode 1.
In a dystopian future where women are (I’m sorry if this word offends you) rape to bear children for the elite. That to put it shortly the synopsis, but there more to it.
Superb acting, real tension and it just leave you wanting more. If you want to watch real drama, then you need to watch this.
(if you are worried about the ‘rape’ part, don’t be – the producer has watered it down and it isn’t really shown as such.)
Yes, those were a few of my favourite summer 218 things. What have you been enjoying lately?
