Warmer and sunnier weather is always the perfect time to do a little self-care. So here are 5 tips on how to do self-care for yourself this spring.
Now I have a confession, I sucks at self-care for myself. I would tell myself to commit to it, do it once or twice a week, then I would just forget about it and would fall out of a routine.
Told you, I suck at self-care for myself. It is a little embarrassing to admit this. Just cause, now you’re the 30 something adult and you supposed to be all grown up and responsible. Well guess what? I not.
I still do all the childish habit I did when I was younger, such as eating chocolate for breakfast or keeping my phone next to my bed side table. I still also ignore my greens and spend way too much time looking at a computer screen.
So overall what I’m’ saying, I suck at self-care and I’m the worst person in the entire world when it comes to it.
Why oh why am I still going on about self-care then? Because I know in my heart, I can’t go on forever living with my childish habit and ignoring my own self-care practice.
I can hear my father voice in my head, telling me to grow up and be an adult. Urgh, don’t’ you just hate it when your parents right?
As I sucks and I tend to fall out of a routine or anything really quickly, I have devise 5 tips to make it really easy and really simple for myself.
They so easy, you can join in yourself. With warmer and sunnier weather – now is the right time for you to get into a self-care routine.
So without further ado, here are 5 tips on how to do self-care for yourself this spring.
Go out into the light:
Longer daylight – means there no excuse for not going into the light. Go catch some ray and get some vitamins D. Go for a walk or even sit your garden for 20 minutes, just enjoy the sunshine as you will be moaning when it gone.
Relax with rain sound on Spotify:
A contrast when I’m just telling you to get some ray. But I love the sound of rain and thunder and have a playlist of it on Spotify. I love listening to it when ‘I’m trying to get to sleep or when I’m stressed. Try to listen to it on your way to work, it will make the day more bearable.
Do some light stretches:
I know for anyone who hate exercising, this might not be what you want to hear. Bur in the morning or evening, just do some light stretches. It doesn’t have to be a full work-out, just some deep breathing and stretching the body till it clicks.
Log out of social media:
For one day every week, just log out of Facebook or Pinterest and go out into the real world. After all, does it really matter if you didn’t see that cat picture for one day? Does it?
Stay away from junk food:
Ugh I hate fast food, but some people tend to live on it and will not eat anything else. So this season, just try to stay away from the junk food. It seriously doesn’t do your body or your health any good. You will feel a lot better when you’re no pumping our body with rubbish foods.
