This post is dedicated to a friend of mine who is leaving work behind and going full-time blogging. So I thought I would help her out. Here are 4 easy affiliate programs to help you make money on your blog.
It a question I get asked the most: how do you make money on your blog? When I answer and explain, I get the ‘ahh, I see’’ response from people. Which usually follow a blank look on their face. Needless to say, a lot of older people seem to ask me and give me a lecture on how it was so different in their day. I just smile, nod and go with the flow.
But I do understand why people keep asking me, as blogging is relatively a new industry. And its something that a lot of older generation has grasped. They still prefer reading the Daily Mail newspaper – while me like reading the Mail online and sniggering at all the comments.
On the other end of the spectrum, I do seem to get the response from people, where they want to join in all the fun and keep asking me for the ins and outs of it all.
Which brings me to the point today, I got a friend who is leaving her proper employment soon and has been asking me the ins and out of making money through blogging.
It isn’t easy and there no simple formula. If they were I would be at the Maldives right now. Earning through blogging doesn’t happen overnight. But they are some easy tools to help you. Here are 4 easy affiliate programs to help you make money on your blog.
I have already written 5 reasons to use Awin for affiliate marketing. But I’m still going to mention it as I think this is an amazing program to use. This is what helped me have a single post earned me £200. Awin is the UK’s largest affiliate marketing website, with 2,100 advertisers on their platform and supporting over 75,000 publishers, you can find everything you need to get started with Affiliate marketing.
Another version of Awin, but I feel this is more aimed at the US audience. It works much the same way as Awin and I haven’t had any problems since using it. This might be a good idea to use if you have international readers.
This is basically a link covert affiliate program. Skimlinks will transform certain words into links. Such as Amazon, EBay or Oasis fashion. All you have to do it put in a little code on your website, and this does the rest for you. It so easy and all you have to concrete on is your writing.
A reliable affiliate program as this is runs by Amazon. It really easy and simple to use. Anyone can get accepted and you can pretty much link to anything on the website. All you have to do to sign up is use your own Amazon account.
Overall, all of those links are my recommendations for newbie bloggers who want to use affiliate links on their blog. There are more available, but for the sake of me helping my friend out – I won’t go into more at the moment.
If you are already familiar with affiliate programs and have your recommendation. Then please do share. What are your favourite 4 easy affiliate programs to help you make money on your blog?

Thanks for the info. I have been blogging with affiliate links since April and have yet to earn over $10 total. I don’t know how I can afford to quit my job next June, which had been my plan. I have not hit that magic formula that has folks clicking and buy things. Good luck to your friend though and hats off to you.
Ahh I wish Affiliate links would work for me. People do click on mine but nobody purchases from them, it’s super hard!

Great information Anna, thanks.
Hello Anna
Thanks for sharing, finding affiliate programs can be hard when you`re just getting started, most people only know of Amazon and feel discouraged if Amazon for whatever reason Does not accept their application.
I just started into the world of affiliate marketing and am struggling to keep up with it all (since I only blog on minimal hours). I haven’t seen any rewards yet, but it will come! Best of luck to your friend!
This was very helpful!!!
I should try those tips and start getting income on blogging. thanks for the wonderful advice.
Thank you for sharing I am a member of AWIN but really need to get into it more to make worth while
I will definitely be checking skim links out, I already use amazon but was wondering what the one that does the words for you is, its skim links!
No Awin. Awin I have found to be the best programs to use. xx
I have been blogging for over two years now and still havent delved into the affiliate pool. I don’t feel like it would make any difference as I need to build on my readership and my audience. I need to build a community first & I am still in the midst of doing that. These are definitely thing I will keep in mind when I am ready to cross that bridge.
