Roses are red, violets are blue; please let cupid’s heart strikes this Valentine’s Day and bring me something sweet. Here are Valentine’s day gift ideas for women under £20.
The whole idea of gift giving on Valentine’s day, makes me want to rolls my eyes and do a deep loud sigh. What with it being so close to Christmas and your bank balance still recovering from the holiday spend; do we really need to spend more for another mini holiday?
Umm, maybe that the sort of thing I shouldn’t really write on a gift idea post. I’m sure there are some romantics here who relish Valentine’s day and think it a beautiful sweet holiday and look forward to gifts.
Sorry, to put a snap in Cupid’s heart, but I’m not one of those girls. I mean I use to be and when Valentine’s day did come round I would wait patiently for my little gift or card. When I first met Richard and I could actually spend Valentine’s day with a boy, I was all over it. My god, I couldn’t get enough of heart-shaped things, I was delirious with all things love.
Urgh, I’m so embarrassed by how I use to act. Sketching n my notebook rubbish love poem, listening to Celine Dion love songs, looking through all Valentine’s day cards in stores. Who was that girl?
As I was saying, I have never been that bigger fan of Valentine’s day and as I think as I got older and a little wiser; I’m now no longer that googly strange girl. My husband and I don’t celebrate it, and we don’t really give each other gifts.
I think in a new relationship you do tend to relish in this romantic holiday and always looking for that butterfly feeling. So with that said, if your stomach is full of butterfly and cupid’s arrow has indeed strike. And you are now on the hunt to find that perfect gift for your girlfriend*, or it might be the girlfriend who is indeed dropping some hint and is expecting a little gift on the day.
